As you know, yesterday Oakland Athletics pitcher Dallas Braden pitched a perfect game. That means 27 batters, 27 outs. Only 109 pitches. Pretty sick stuff.
But color me unimpressed.
Okay, okay, I’m just kidding. It’s ridiculously impressive. But Dock Ellis pitched a no-hitter one time. And while I understand that that – while just as neat – isn’t as impressive as a perfect game it’s still awesome when you consider that he did it on LSD.
Allow me to repeat myself: Dock Ellis pitched a no-hitter whilst high on LSD.
This video is dubbed over Ellis’ recollection of the events. It’s uh…well, it’s as awesome as a guy throwing a no-hitter while high on LSD can be. Which, as you guessed, is pretty awesome.
